Artist and MFT Michael G. Bauer will be leading a series of public workshops in collaboration with Art in the Park aimed to promote meditation and mindful drawing practice within a group context. The workshops draw on mindfulness, and meditation The goal of the workshops is to promote emotional wellbeing, community building, and connection through drawing processes.

Meditational drawing uses the drawing process to engage in meditation. Meditative drawing (or drawing meditation) is a visual technique for training attention and awareness, placing the mind in a calm and stable state through drawing. This can be done through a series of techniques, such as repetitive mark-making, coloring, drawing from life, visualization, and exercises that activate the senses.

Workshops take place inside and outside. Masks are highly recommended indoors.
